Q: What is micro-current?
A: Micro-current is a safe, effective, non-invasive and non-surgical facial scultping treatment. It can lift, sculpt and tighten any part of your face or body.
Q: How is micro-current used for cosmetic treatment, and why is it so effective?
A: As we age our body loses much of its natural electrical energy. On a cellular level, this leads to a breakdown of muscle tone, which leads to sagging and unevenness of texture. Lines, wrinkles and folds become the inevitable result. Micro-current emits subtle electrical frequencies that mimic the body's own electrical signals. It increases the amount of ATP (the chemical fuel of human cells), which then causes the cells to rejuvenate, allowing the reconstitution of elastin and collagen. There is also an increase in blood circulation. The results of these processes can be seen in improved skin tone and coloration, the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, and the firming of sagging areas of the face and body.
Q: Will I experience any pain?
A: Micro-current facials are painless, both during and after treatment. In fact, many clients compare it to the relaxation of a massage, and many even fall asleep during their session. There is no downtime, and you may resume your normal activities immediately following treatment.
Q: How soon will I see results?
A: You will almost immediately see subtle changes in your skin. After the first and second treatments, you will feel a marked smoothness to your face. Subsequent visits will have you noticing reduction in the fine lines — especially around the mouth, upper forehead and cheeks. The more treatments you have, the more improvement you will see. It is recommended that the client receive two treatments per week in the first two weeks, and then one per week thereafter until treatment is complete. The client may need up to 10 treatments to achieve a full "facelift" makeover. Clients with greater aging effects such as severe neck sagging, deep creases or distinguished crow's feet, may need up to 15 sessions. After your full treatment course is completed, booster treatments should be repeated every four to six weeks to maintain the facial memory.
Q: How long should I expect the results to last?
A: Your cosmetic investment is preserved as long as you are receiving booster treatments every four to six weeks after the initial treatment span. If you stop booster treatments, you risk losing the muscle memory and you may need to start a new treatment program.
Q: How long will the treatment sessions last?
A: Allow about an hour and fifteen minutes for your initial appointment, and an hour for all subsequent appointments.
Q: Who is not a candidate for this procedure?
A: Your are not a candidate for this procedure if you are pregnant, have had heart surgery within the past year, have a pacemaker or have epilepsy.
Please consult with your technician before your scheduled appointment if you have any other related health issues or concerns.
